Kenya Airways plane overshoots runway at Entebbe International

According to the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), a Nairobi-bound Kenya Airways plane overshot the runway at Entebbe International Airport by 4 metres as it tried to land there on Monday.
There are no details on where the flight was coming from but according to the company’s website, the airline flies four daily flights between Nairobi and Entebbe.
According to a Kenya Airways spokesperson, there were no injuries to the any of the 113 passengers on board or damage to the aircraft. 114 passengers were killed almost a year ago, when KQ flight 507 crashed into a mangrove swamp near Dizangue south-east of Douala airport in Cameroun.
The Nariobi-bound flight had just taken off from Douala airport and had originated from Ivory Coast en route to Nairobi when it lost contact with the control tower minutes after it had taken off.The Boeing 737-800 involved in the Cameroun crash was only 6 months old and was 1 of 3 the airline had recently purchased from Chicago-based Boeing Aircraft.
