Kenya’s Prime Minister welcomes Peace Corps back to Kenya

Kenya’s Prime Minister today welcomed Peace volunteers back to Kenya and emphasized to them that Kenya was safe.Mr. Odinga was speaking at a press conference in Washington DC to announce the return of the Peace Corps to Kenya. Before the violence that erupted in Kenya after last year’s general elections, there were 144 peace corps volunteers in Kenya. As the violence got worse, they were all brought together to safe locations and eventually left the country.Scripps News
