Open skies pact between Kenya and the US signed

Kenya’s transport minister Chirau Ali Mwakwere and US Transportation Secretary Mary Peters yesterday formally signed the Open Skies agreement between the two countries.This agreement opens up opportunities on both sides when direct flights between the US and Kenya begin. Delta airlines was scheduled to start flying into Kenya shortly after the agreement but postponed their launch schedule to next year until the company is satisfied that political uncertainty was no longer an issue.
