Noah Serem wins 39th White Rock Lake Marathon

The 39th edition of White Rock Marathon in Dallas today took place in beautiful, unusually warm (though very windy) weather. Noah Serem of Kenya won the Mens’ marathon in 2:22:07, the slowest time since 2002.

The event was, however, marked by tragedy when a runner from Austin, TX, Erin Lahr, 29, collapsed and died at the 21 mile marker. She was pronounced dead at the Baylor Medical Center just a few blocks away. The cause of death has not yet been established pending an autopsy.
