Kenya Issues Swine Flu Alert – will screen travelers from US, Mexico

Kenya’s Public Health and Sanitation minister, Beth Mugo has announced that Kenya is stepping up surveillance of the fast-spreading swine flu which has now spread all across the globe after the first cases were from Mexico a couple of weeks ago.
The minister said visitors from Texas, Mexico, California and New York will be subject to screening at Jomo Kenyatta International airport and Moi International airport.
As of 4AM Wednesday April 29, 2009, Central Daylight Time, neither the Ministry of Health website or the Kenya Embassy website had any updated information.
So, if you plan to travel to Kenya soon and need more details before you travel on what to expect when you arrive, it’s best check directly with the Kenyan Embassy in Washington DC;
